# 26 April 2007 09:02 (UTC +04:00)
Davud Savalanoglu, representative of South Azerbaijan Awakening Movement (SANAM) to Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) made statement on his resignation, Huseyn Turkeli, former chief of SANAM America-Canada Organization told the APA. Savalanoglu accused SANAM leadership of antidemocratic activity.
“SANAM is far from democracy. Mahmudeli Chohraganli abuses his power to get extraordinary authorities. Taking all this into account I consider that my activity in this organization is useless and resign from the posts of representative of UNPO and Federal National Congress,” he said.
Agri Garadagli, press secretary of SANAM Azerbaijan representation said Turkelli’s reports are not true.
“Davud Savalanoglu has not resigned,” he said. /APA/
