Pro-opposition Azadliq alliance’s state building and Legal Policy Commission held a press conference on the draft resolution it worked out on the amendments to the Electoral Code. Commission’s chairman Gulamhuseyn Alibayli said they proposed amendments on 33 articles of the Election Code, APA reports.
Gulamhuseyn Alibayli said they proposed to form election commissions from the members of parties which won more votes in the latest parliamentary elections. The amendments call for additional rights for observers, establishing polling stations at military units and voting in general polling stations for servicemen, elimination of procedure of presenting ID card before voting, dismissal of state officers from Election Commission.
It offers deputy and one of the secretaries Central Election Committee to be opposition representative.
