Israeli professor to cure Azeri sergeant wounded by Armenian bullet

Roman Barak, director of Khorev Medical Center in Haifa, Israel examined Tovuz resident, Sergeant Azer Nagiyev, APA reports. Nagiyev was wounded while rescuing two children from Armenian fire in 2004. Professor Barak said that Nagiyev will be taken to Israel soon. The patient will be cured and rehabilitated there. The doctor said as it is the day of Israel’s independence today he decided to cure Azer Nagiyev, rescued children, at the expenses of the clinic.
Asked if he ever cured veteran of Karabakh war professor Barak said his clinics helped Elkhan Zakiyev, injured on his eye. After some time Elkhan married and Roman Barak and head ophthalmologist of Israel participated in his wedding.
Roman Barak came to Azerbaijan at the invitation of Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Arthur Lenk.
The ambassador visited the village of Alibeyli of the region Tovuz at the invitation of parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva and met with the families of martyrs and handicapped. Taking into account Ganira Pashayeva’s request, the ambassador called doctor from Israel to examine Azer Nagiyev. Nagiyev was examined in Ganira Pashayeva’s presence. The parliamentarian said that this decision shows humanist relations between out nations. /APA/
