Tbilisi hosts NATO PA seminar

The 65th Rose-Route seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Tbilisi, APA Georgia bureau reports. The theme of the seminar is â€œGeorgia on the way to Euro-Atlantic integrationâ€. Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, speaker Nino Burjanadze, NATO PA president JosÃ© Lello, Special representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby and others are attending the seminar. Lello said that Georgia continues carrying out reforms for integration into NATO. Mikhail Saakashvili said that the society and all ethnic groups support NATO membership.
â€œEvery one understands that NATO and Georgia need each other,â€ the president said.
Saakashvili said that Georgia will finish intensive dialogue with the military-political alliance by autumn and the stage of Membership Action Plan will start.
Following the presidentâ€™s speech the assembly was closed for media representatives.
Azerbaijani representatives also attended the seminar which will end on April 21. /APA/
