Azerbaijan and Venice Commission are to debate about Election Code

Experts from Azerbaijan and Venice Commission are to hold debates on the amendments to the countryâ€™s Election Code in April, President Officeâ€™s socio-political department head Ali Hasanov was quoted by APA as saying.
â€œThese debates probably will take place in Baku. Strasbourg can also host these debates later onâ€. He said though parties hold different views, there are agreed moments on the amendments to the Election Code.
â€œWe oppose the opinion of the experts from the Council of Europe that the election commissions are dependent on some political forcesâ€™ will. Azerbaijan stands for democratic, fair and transparent elections without dependence on any political will. /APA/
