Conference â€œThe role of Diaspora in the development of Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership relationsâ€ to be held in Washington

Baku â€“ APA. Conference â€œThe role of Diaspora in the development of Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership relationsâ€ will be held in Washington on October 1-2. The conference will be organized by the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijani Living Abroad and US Azeris Network (USAN). Press Service of the State Committee told APA that political activity of Azerbaijani Diaspora in America, its prospects, today of US Azerbaijanis will be discussed at the conference. The other part of the event will mainly cover issues of energy security.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to US Yashar Aliyev, Head of Azerbaijani Permanent Mission to UN Agshin Mehdiyev, parliamentarians Ganira Pashayeva, Asim Mollazadeh, Consul General of Azerbaijan to Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov, officers of State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, representative of U.S. Department of State and World Bank, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza, members of the U.S. Congress and others will participate in the conference. Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov, Executive Director of State Oil Fund Shahmar Movsumov, Vice-President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Elshad Nasirov have also been invited to the conference.
