World Azerbaijanis Congress holds press conference

Baku. Ramil Mammadliâ€“APA. Co-Chairs of the World Azerbaijanis Congress Sabir Rustamkhanli and Firudin Parvizniya held a press conference on Monday. Rustamkhanli said they had carried out considerable works in the direction of establishing relations with Diaspora organizations, protecting the rights of the Iranian Azerbaijanis and taking these issues to the international organizations. â€œWe have solved problems of about 40 southern students who addressed us. Appropriate meetings were held at the Ministry of Education and State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Personsâ€.
Rustamkhanli said certain projects had been prepared for solution of the problems of Azerbaijanis living abroad. â€œWAC prepared its two-year action plan at the Governing Boardâ€™s last meeting. We have four serious projects for this year and another five for the next yearâ€.
WAC Co-Chair Firudin Parvizniya said they had sent a letter to the Council of Europe. He said it was considered to hold special meeting at the European Parliament on the rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis.
