Arnold Schwarzenegger congratulates US Azerbaijanis with 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan Peopleâ€™s Republic <font color=red>- PHOTOSESSION</font>

In his keynote speech, Vice-President of the US Azerbaijani Council Samir Lutvaliyev spoke about the historic role and important mission of Azerbaijan Peopleâ€™s Republic in the establishment of the second democratic republic and appreciated the moral and military assistance of Turkey to the first democratic state of Moslem world. Vice-Consul of Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles Elshan Baloglanov spoke about the political and economic reforms, as well as the foreign diplomacy of the republic, which existed for two years only. The speaker said Azerbaijan Peopleâ€™s Republic was recognized by 18 countries and sent its official delegation to the Paris Peace Conference. Then, the Vice-Consul read out a letter of congratulation sent by Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan Peopleâ€™s Republic. Chairwoman of Turkish Students Association of Berkeley University Ulduz Berenjfonush spoke about the contribution of the Peopleâ€™s Republic to the national revival in Southern Azerbaijan. Ms. Berenjfonush talked about the role of Pishavariâ€™s 21 Azer Government in the history of Azerbaijanis. Well-known surgeon Shahpoor Ansari refreshed his memory of the days spent in Southern Azerbaijan. He said despite all restrictions of Iranian government, Azerbaijanis continued their fidelity to their language, history and national identity. Maestro Chingiz Sadikhov, popular artist Namig Sultanov, violinist Melissa Bitman, musician Javad Ismailbeyli and dancer Gizilgul Alimammadova performed national music and dances at the end of the ceremony.
