COP-29 is just a few weeks away. Climate change is no longer a future risk or threat; we must address this issue now, Nigar Arpadarai, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29 Azerbaijan, said during a roundtable on “Carbon Mitigation and Market Mechanisms,” APA reports.
She emphasized that the temperature must be kept within 1.5 degrees: “States must ensure this. Trillions of dollars are needed for the green transition. We must take advantage of this transition. The main topic of the COP-29 discussion is finance."
