A registration fee may be imposed in Russia for migrants at their place of residence, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
The Russian government has submitted a draft law to the State Duma proposing the introduction of a fee for the registration of migrants at their place of residence.
According to the draft law, it is proposed to impose a fee of 500 rubles for the registration of foreign citizens at their place of residence, as well as a fee of 1,000 rubles for the extension of the temporary stay period. In addition, a fee of 4.2 thousand rubles is also established for the issuance or re-issuance of a patent with a work permit. Migrants will have to pay 4,200 rubles to extend the validity of the work permit, and 2,100 rubles for obtaining a duplicate or making amendments to the permit.
If adopted, the law is expected to come into force from September 1, 2025, but not earlier than one month after its official publication.
