Kyiv's demand for a summit with the Russian Federation sounds strange against the backdrop of open terrorist acts carried out by Ukrainian units, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with government members, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
He noted that Kyiv is carrying out attacks on peaceful infrastructure in Russia and at the same time is asking to suspend military operations for 30, even 60 days, and is asking to hold a meeting at the highest level. "How can such meetings be held in these conditions? What can we talk about?" Putin asked.
"In general, who is negotiating with those who "bet" on terrorism? With terrorists? Why should they be encouraged by postponing military operations?", the Russian president emphasized.
President Vladimir Putin has questioned the possibility of holding a summit with Ukraine and organizing a ceasefire after the terrorist acts in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. He called the attacks a "targeted strike" against the civilian population.
