The Kremlin has commented on Iran’s decision to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
The spokesperson for the Russian President stated that such a move is a direct result of the recent sabotage attack and airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
He noted that this is quite an unprecedented incident. “Of course, in this situation, the IAEA’s reputation has been seriously damaged. Naturally, such a development cannot help but raise concerns. As we have heard and seen, there are still contacts between the U.S. and Iran through other channels. Therefore, we are closely monitoring the situation and maintaining our communication with our partners in Tehran,” Peskov emphasized.
The Kremlin spokesperson suggested waiting for verified information regarding the condition of Iran’s nuclear facilities: “I believe no one currently has reliable information. It’s too early. We must wait until concrete data becomes available.”
