The Russian Investigative Committee has completed the investigation into the crime committed at “Crocus,” APA’s Moscow correspondent reports citing the Russian Investigative Committee.
The terrorist attack carried out last March at the Crocus City Hall concert complex in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region, was ordered by the Ukrainian authorities. At the same time, there was also a plan to blow up an entertainment complex in Dagestan.
It was reported that the terrorist attack resulted in 149 deaths, 1 person missing, and 609 injured. The total damage caused by the attack is estimated at about 6 billion rubles.
“The crime was committed in the interests of the current Ukrainian leadership to destabilize political stability in Russia.
Several suspects planned to bomb an entertainment complex in Kaspiysk, Dagestan Republic. This crime was prevented.
Preparations for the terrorist act began several months in advance. The suspects were trained abroad. Weapons were transported to Kaspiysk and then delivered to the Moscow region.
Although the terrorists tried to hide in Ukraine, they were detained in the Bryansk region and handed over to Moscow.
Nineteen of the suspects will soon stand trial. They are members or affiliates of the banned terrorist organization ‘Vilayat Khorasan’ in the Russian Federation,” the Russian Investigative Committee’s statement reads.
