Baku – APA-Economics. On Monday, Brent passed $US100 a barrel for the first time since October 2008 and traded as high as $US101.73. It has been trading close to $100 since the beginning of the year.

In the US, benchmark West Texas Intermediate, or WTI, crude for March delivery was down $1.47 at $90.72 a barrel in mid-afternoon trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (MYMEX). The price rose eight per cent over the previous two sessions.
