Oil prices on decline
Oil, gold and copper declined as the World Health Organization raised its global pandemic alert to the highest since the warning system was adopted in 2005, saying the disease is not containable. Crude surged 11 percent last month as the stock market rose on speculation that the economy and energy consumption would rebound later this year.
Crude oil for June delivery fell $1.29, or 2.6 percent, to $48.85 a barrel at 9:10 a.m. on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices are up 9.5 percent this year.
Other commodities dropped on concern that spread of the disease will exacerbate the economic slowdown. Copper touched a two-week low.
Brent crude for June settlement fell $1.06, or 2.1 percent, to $49.26 a barrel on London’s ICE Futures Europe exchange.
Aprelin 28-də Nyu-Yorkun NYMEX əmtəə birjasında keçirilən ticarət əməliyyatlarının gedişində WTI neftinin ixracına dair may müqaviləsinin dəyəri 0,22 dollar və ya 0,44% azalaraq 1 barelə görə 49,92 dollar təşkil edib. «APA-Economics»in məlumatına görə, aprelin 28-də ICE London qitələrarası birjasında mayda ixrac etməklə Brent markalı neftin 1 barelinin dəyəri isə 0,33 dollar artaraq 49,99 dollar təşkil edib.
Neftin ucuzlaşması iki əsas səbəblə bağlıdır. Belə ki, ilk növbədə neftin ucuzlaşmasına ABŞ və Avropa fond bazarlarında kotirovkaların enməsi, digər tərəfdən isə ABŞ-da ötən həftə neft ehtiyatlarının artması müşahidə olunub. Qeyd edək ki, ötən həftə ABŞ-ın xam neft ehtiyatları 4,584 mln. barel artaraq 374,823 mln. barelə, benzin ehtiyatları 2,560 mln. barel azalaraq 215,989 mln. barelə, mazut və dizel yanacağı ehtiyatları 1,581 mln. barel artaraq 144,362 mln. barelə çatıb. Eyni zamanda, ölkənin gündəlik neft idxalı 525 min barel azalaraq 9,722 mln. barel təşkil edib.
