Baku-APA. A delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived in Iran on Tuesday to discuss further cooperation between Tehran and the agency, APA reports quoting Press TV.
The IAEA team, headed by the IAEA deputy director general and head of the Department of Safeguards Tero Varjoranta, is expected to discuss issues pertaining to an agreement signed between Tehran and the UN nuclear agency last November.
After the interim nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group - - Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States plus Germany -- in November last year, the UN nuclear watchdog was tasked with monitoring Iran's end of the deal, which curbs its nuclear program in exchange for some sanction relief.
The recent round of Iranian nuclear talks aimed at drafting a final deal ended in Vienna on Friday with no agreement reached as differences remained. Both sides would continue the negotiations next month.
