"Gabala" FC makes a statement

Baku-APA. The football club "Gabala" made a statement regarding the events at the stadium during the return match of the qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

“We express great regret the incident happened in the Europa League" Gabala "-" Dinamo "(Tbilisi) match on July 9, 2015.

Despite increased security measures at the stadium as in Tbilisi, forces wishing to harm the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia caused a stir again. Insult of the Georgian state attributes and hanging political slogans should be considered as the part of the activities of a group of provocateurs.

As before, this kind of incidents will not affect the friendly relations and close cooperation of the peoples of our countries. The friendly relations between representatives of clubs, both before and after the match demonstrated that competition and rivalry occur only on the football field. We hope that those who allowed themselves to inappropriate actions in both cases are identified and receive appropriate punishment. Once again we express our regret for the incident. "
