Abbas Aragchi: â€œNuclear discussions between Iran and G6 are going complicatedâ€

On May 14, the discussions at the UN Headquarter at Vienna under the leadership of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton have reached the stage of drafting the text of the agreement. Two meetings under Mohammad Javad Zarif and Catherine Ashton ‘s leadership were held on May 14-15. At the same time, deputy of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Helga Schmidt and A. Araghchi have met twice. Moreover, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Catherine Ashton held three and a half hour closed-door meeting on May 15.

It’s noted that today the Iranian side will hold a bilateral meeting with some of G6 countries. Araghchi and Schmidt will meet for the third time on May 16. The discussions are expected to come to an end today.
