Baku-APA. A 5.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Hualien county, Taiwan at 8:21 a.m. Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The epicenter was monitored at 23.7 degrees north latitude and 121.5 degrees east longitude, and the focus of the quake was 20 kilometers deep, the center said in a statement.
Taiwan earthquake authority put the quake at 5.9-magnitude.
Tremor was felt in Taipei, but no casualty has been reported so far.
