Two security personnel at the UAE Consulate General in Erbil, the capital of the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan, were injured in a drone strike, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed, APA reports.
According to the statement, the diplomatic mission was attacked "for the second time in a week." "The most recent attack was carried out using a drone, which injured two security personnel and damaged the consulate building," the statement noted.
The UAE authorities called on Erbil and Baghdad to "investigate the circumstances of this attack to identify those responsible and take all necessary measures to bring them to justice."
