Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his speech at the official ceremony marking the “20 July Peace and Freedom Day” has expressed his gratitude to the people of Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.
Erdoğan noted that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is now represented in organizations such as the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
“Most recently, during the Economic Cooperation Organization Summit in Khankendi, the glorious flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus flew alongside those of other countries. I once again thank President Ilham Aliyev and the beloved people of Azerbaijan for their support in our struggle for Cyprus,” he stated.
