Spanish King to visit China in November in show of close ties

King Felipe VI of Spain will visit China on a four-day trip in November as Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez pushes to deepen ties with Beijing, APA reports, citing Bloomberg.

Spain’s head of state and Queen Letizia will travel to Beijing on Nov. 10-11, where they’re expected to meet President Xi Jinping, according to people familiar with the matter. The king will then visit Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, on Nov. 12-13, said the people, who asked not to be named as the information isn’t public.
