At least one person was killed and four others were injured when the roof of a mud house collapsed in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Sunday, the provincial government office said in a statement on Tuesday, Xinhua reports.
The incident occurred in the Shirgar area of Kama district after the house, previously damaged in an earthquake, collapsed, according to a statement issued by the office.
Residential houses in the country's remote areas are predominantly built from mud, making them prone to collapse in heavy rain or after quakes, often causing deaths and destroying homes.
