Israel has not yet responded to the ceasefire proposal in Gaza, said Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, APA reports.
He said that negotiations are ongoing, but there are no results yet.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson declared that Israel is moving toward escalation and taking dangerous steps in Gaza.
“The occupation of Gaza is a move that threatens everyone, including the hostages,” Al-Ansari emphasized.
Note that negotiations between Hamas and Israel for a ceasefire in Gaza are being mediated by Qatar and Egypt.
