The disarmament process of the radical Hamas movement is scheduled to begin in March, according to two sources in the Board of Peace, APA reports citing state broadcaster Kan.
According to her, Hamas' disarmament will begin after the new technocratic government in Gaza takes office and assumes the powers previously held by the radical movement. The first area of Gaza to be demilitarized will be Rafah, in the southern Palestinian enclave, Kan reports.
The first meeting of the leaders of the Board of Peace member countries is scheduled to take place in the US capital on February 19.
