Türkiye is not concerned that the talks between Iran and the US are being held in Oman, not Istanbul, said Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
He stated that the key issue is how actively Türkiye is involved in the process. He emphasized that this is important in terms of contacts held both with Iran and with other parties.
“Even if the negotiations are held in other countries, we support these meetings taking place through diplomatic channels. The main issue is how actively we are involved in this process. This is very important in terms of contacts with both Iran and other parties. Türkiye takes an active stance not only between the United States and Iran, but also within the broader framework of regional balance and interests,” Burhanettin Duran noted.
