Israel supports the US-led peace plan for the Gaza Strip and will work to ensure its successful implementation, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar saidnwhile speaking in Washington at the first meeting of the Board of Peace, APA reports.
"This is the first plan that aims to address the problem at its root. We support it, are working on it, and will continue to work on its success," he said.
According to Saar, all previous attempts to resolve the situation in Gaza have failed because they "failed to address the root problems: terror, hatred, incitement, and indoctrination." The current plan, according to the minister, is designed to fundamentally rectify the situation, allowing for the complete demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and the "deradicalization of Palestinian society."
