Paris and Madrid are the most active in the European Union (EU) calling for the creation and recognition of a Palestinian state, in connection with which France and Spain should create an appropriate state entity on their own territories, said Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at a press conference with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto, APA reports.
"France and Spain are huge countries. And sometimes, when I hear about their internal problems, it seems to me that they think it's easier for them to deal with our problems. <...> I want to say that if they so enthusiastically want to create a Palestinian state, then let them remember the vast territories that Spain and France have. Since they are so enthusiastic about creating a Palestinian state, they can do it in their own territories," Saar said.
