In its contacts with the United States, Israel is insisting on certain demands regarding Washington's negotiations with Tehran, APA reports citing Channel 12 of Israel Television.
A TV channel source familiar with the content of the meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Presidential Envoy Steven Witkoff, which took place in Jerusalem on Tuesday, claims that the Israeli side put forward four demands behind closed doors ahead of the expected US-Iranian talks.
According to Channel 12's source, these demands included Iran handing over its highly enriched uranium reserves to another country, Tehran's renunciation of further nuclear enrichment, the cessation of Iranian ballistic missile production, and the cessation of funding and supplies to forces allied with the Islamic Republic in the Middle East.
"Any agreement that doesn't include these conditions is a bad agreement. The current [Washington] administration has proven its commitment to Israel in all areas, especially on the Iranian issue," the official believes. "Israel has influenced in the past and will continue to influence every step the Americans decide to take," the Channel 12 source asserted.
