“Almost all officials are safe and unharmed,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told NBC News, APA reports.
Araghchi said that the Iranian army may have lost one or two commanders, adding that this is not a major problem.
“When they attack us, we cannot simply sit and watch. We are also striking American bases in self-defense,” the foreign minister stressed.
He noted that he does not understand why the US administration insists on starting negotiations and then attacks Iran.
“Perhaps other forces have drawn the United States into this conflict for their own interests,” Araghchi added.
