Iran is ready to hold discussions on a new nuclear deal, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, APA reports citing IRIB.
"Iran is ready to hold meaningful diplomatic contacts to reach a new agreement. We are ready to continue diplomatic contacts for an agreement that respects Iran's rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty and takes into account the concerns of all parties," the Iranian Foreign Minister said.
It should be noted that the European Troika (Great Britain, Germany and France) began the process of activating the mechanism for restoring sanctions against Iran (snapback mechanism) on August 28.
The process lasts 30 days.
If no agreement is reached between Iran and the European Troika during this period, sanctions against Iran will come into force.
