Iran will not withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, said Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), APA reports.
According to him, Iran’s declaration that it will not withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons is encouraging.
“What is encouraging for us is Iran's declaration not to withdraw from this treaty and to continue working within the international non-proliferation regime. At the same time, Iran has expressed its concerns. As an international organization, our main duty is to listen to these concerns and find ways and means to address them,” he added.
Grossi noted that the IAEA has obtained a technical document regarding inspection notifications and their implementation with Iran.
Recall that the IAEA and Iran reached an agreement yesterday on the resumption of inspections at nuclear facilities.
