The damage caused to the Bushehr nuclear facility is not significant, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi said, APA reports.
He noted that the IAEA had received information from Iran and Russia about damage caused to the facility as a result of a drone strike.
According to Grossi, the drone did not hit the main facility but its surroundings, and therefore a building housing a laboratory may have been damaged.
“No damage was caused to the reactors and there were no casualties. Any attack on a nuclear facility must be avoided,” the Director General emphasized.
He added that the agency has not yet had the opportunity to assess the extent of the damage to Bushehr.
