The Prime Minister of the Houthi-backed government in Yemen, Ahmed al-Rahawi, has been killed in Israeli airstrikes, APA reports, citing The Times of Israel.
The Houthis have confirmed the death of the prime minister and other members of the government.
According to Saba News Agency, his successor, Mohammed Miftah, has been elected.
Note that two days ago, the Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes on the capital of Yemen, Sana'a. Ahmed al-Rahawi had been serving as the Prime Minister of the Houthi-controlled part of Yemen since August 2024.
