The Palestinian Hamas movement announced that it is ready to immediately return to negotiations on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of all hostages held there, APA reports.
"Hamas is ready to immediately sit down at the negotiating table and discuss the release of all hostages in exchange for an end to the war, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and the formation of an independent Palestinian government there that will immediately begin to work," the statement said. The movement's leadership also confirmed that Washington, through intermediaries, "conveyed its vision of a ceasefire agreement" in Gaza, and stressed that Hamas "welcomes any initiatives aimed at ending aggression" in the enclave.
