FM: Actions against Israel will harm Europe itself

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has commented on the economic measures plan proposed against Israel at the European Commission, APA reports.

Saar considered the proposals morally and politically distorted and expressed hope that they would not be officially approved.

"Actions against Israel will harm Europe itself. Israel will continue the fight with the help of its friends in Europe. The steps taken against Israel will be responded to appropriately, and I hope there will be no need for that," Saar said on his X account.

Note that the European Commission has proposed economic measures against Israel to the European Council due to the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza following Israel's military intervention, the blockade of humanitarian aid, the establishment of new settlements by the Israeli government, and the serious damage to the two-state solution.
