A roadmap for lasting peace and stability in Syria has already been determined, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during a meeting of his party, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
Erdoğan noted that the time has come for Syria’s natural resources to be spent on the welfare of the Syrian people. According to him, Türkiye is taking all necessary steps on its part to ensure that the process is not halted.
The Turkish president emphasized that all sides must recognize this reality, avoid miscalculations, refrain from repeating past mistakes, and not poison the process with maximalist demands.
“The time has come for Syria’s resources, its underground and above-ground wealth, to be used not for building tunnels or digging tunnels beneath cities, but for the welfare of all segments of the Syrian people,” Erdoğan said.
