As part of the 25th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, spoke about the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports, citing Anadolu Agency.
Erdoğan stated at the meeting that he hopes the Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiations will lead to lasting peace and emphasized that lasting stability in the Caucasus is beneficial for both Türkiye and Russia.
Additionally, Erdoğan exchanged views with the Russian President on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Russia, as well as regional and global issues. The President noted that Türkiye continues its efforts for a just and lasting peace in the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the Istanbul talks contribute to this process.
