The US and China are set to extend the trade deal agreed in South Korea for another year, APA reports, citing the South China Morning Post newspaper.
The expanded agreement may include short-term economic agreements reached during the summit held in Busan last October, including new purchasing commitments by China.
The publication notes that US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Beijing in early April. He is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, but the exact date of the visit is still being discussed.
It should be noted that the current trade agreement was reached after a meeting between the leaders of the two countries in Busan, South Korea, in October last year.
