Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Tea Seiha left the country this morning to attend the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting being held in Malaysia until Wednesday, APA reports citing Khmer Times.
Seiha is leading a delegation to the talks which will be followed by an Extraordinary GBC Meeting on August 7.
The meetings, convened at the request of Thailand, are being hosted by Malaysia as it is a neutral third country.
Phnom Penh had requested the participation of Malaysia, the United States, and China as observers to help facilitate dialogue and ensure transparency in resolving border issues.
A GBC meeting held in Malaysia on July 28 led to the ceasefire agreement after five days of deadly border clashes.
Cambodia has complied with the ceasefire, repeatedly calling on Thailand to respect the agreement.
