Iranian authorities believe that the Islamic Republic's enriched uranium stockpiles are currently buried under the rubble of the nuclear facility struck by the United States and can be retrieved under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated this in an interview with CBS, APA reports.
"They're under rubble now," he said, answering a question about enriched uranium stockpiles. "As you know, our nuclear facilities were attacked. And everything is under rubble. Of course, there is a possibility of removing them, but only under agency supervision. If we ever decide to do this, it will be done under agency supervision. But for now, we don't have a [nuclear] program. We have no plans to remove them from under the rubble."
