A magnitude 7.1 earthquake was recorded off the coast of Malaysia, part of the Santa Cruz archipelago (Solomon Islands), the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) informed on its website, APA reports.
According to his data, the epicenter of the tremors was located approximately 97 km north of Kota Kinabalu. The epicenter was located at a depth of 620 km.
