307 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes

Hamas said one Israeli air strike destroyed a laboratory building at the Islamic University in Gaza. The Israeli army said the laboratory was used by Hamas to develop weapons and explosives. Israeli army also pounded on the Guest House close to the Hamas leader Khalid Mashal’s house. Death toll as a result of three-day air strikes rose to 307 and about 800 people were wounded. Israeli army said most of the killed and wounded people were members of the Hamas military wing – Izzedin al-Kassam brigade and Palestinian police. Hamas leaders didn’t suffer during the strikes. Israeli Defense Ministry spokesman said despite serious damages, Hamas still had a capacity to launch mortar attacks against Israel. According to the results of opinion poll, 81 percent of Israeli citizens support the operations, but 63 percent of them think that this operation will not stop attacks against Israel.
