Guinea says ready for presidential run-off

Baku-APA. Siaka Sangare, head of the Guinean electoral commission said on Saturday that all is now technically ready to hold Sunday’s second round of the presidential election in the African country, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.
Polling agents and presiding officers have been deployed in the 10,000 polling stations across the country.
No political campaign is allowed this time round for fear of further political violence.
On Friday night, the two presidential candidates in Sunday’s election Alpha Conde and Cellou Dalein Dailallo jointly called on their supporters to remain calm and to vote peacefully in the election.
About 4 million Guinean will go to the poll on Sunday. The Polling stations will open at 7 a.m local time and close at 6 p.m. local time.
Religious and other influential stakeholders in the country have also called for calm for fear of post-election violence
Security forces will be deployed overnight to monitor the situation during and after the election.
