DPRK military parade starts to celebrate ruling party’s birthday

Baku-APA. A massive military parade started here on Sunday morning to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the ruling party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.

The military parade, the biggest in decades, was attended by both top leader Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, as well as senior officials of the country.

A military band plays rousing music as flags were raised and a large crowd looked on.

According to the official KCNA news agency, units of the three services of the Korean People’s Army, the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces, the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the Young Red Guards participated in the parade at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang
