Six Killed In Chinese Amusement Park Accident

Baku – APA. An accident on an amusement park ride in China left six people dead and several others injured Tuesday afternoon, APA reports quoting “All Headline Newsâ€.
Passengers on a simulated rocket ride reported smelling burning electronics and a sudden power outage just before the fatal incident at the Overseas Chinese Town East facility in Shenzhen.
According to witness statements, one of the 11 capsules on the “Space Journey†ride became disconnected, crashing into others, killing six and injuring at least 10 others.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The area surrounding the ride was closed as of Wednesday.
The park is a popular attraction with Hong Kong residents visiting the mainland.
