"Poland has been accepted as a new member in the “New G20” plans announced by the United States as the host of the G20 Leaders’ Summit. The Republic of South Africa, which is set to host this year’s G20 Leaders’ Summit, has been excluded from the event," U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement, APA reports.
"The United States is forging ahead with a new G20. South Africa operated with spite, division, and radical agendas that failed to produce economic growth. America's G20 will propel us forward with innovation, entrepreneurship and perseverance that makes America great and provides a roadmap of prosperity to the world. We're ready to lead the way in Miami," Rubio noted.
Note that the United States will host the G20 Leaders Summit in Miami, Florida, in December 2026.
