Ukrainian delegation to travel to the US today to discuss "peace plan", APA reports, citing Politico.
According to the report, a Ukrainian delegation led by Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, will travel to the US today to discuss with American colleagues the proposed "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine.
Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday that Umerov will lead the delegation. This happened after he dismissed his senior adviser Andriy Yermak, who is considered Ukraine's main liaison with Western allies.
According to Politico, Zelensky set a clear task for the negotiating team - to develop the necessary steps to stop the war operationally and concretely.
To implement this task, Ukrainian officials will meet with US President Donald Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner in Florida.
In addition to Umerov, the Ukrainian delegation will include the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kirill Budanov, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Andriy Gnatov.
The talks will also discuss and agree on the results of the meeting held in Geneva.
