The Washington administration will take retaliatory forceful measures against the terrorist group Islamic State in connection with the killing of two US soldiers and one American translator in Palmyra, announced US President Donald Trump, APA reports.
As he noted in Truth Social, there had been an "ISIS attack against the United States" in Syria. "The response will be very serious," Trump emphasized. Speaking about the incident to reporters outside the White House, he remarked, "It was an ambush."
The American leader clarified that Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa is "extremely outraged and disturbed" by the attack. Trump added that three more soldiers were wounded and are in stable condition.
