US President Donald Trump has announced plans to hold several meetings concerning the situation surrounding Iran, APA reports.
Speaking to journalists following his meeting with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Trump claimed that Iran was currently in a difficult position.
“They are not doing well. Moreover, I have meetings on this issue today. They are in very bad shape,” the US president said.
Trump did not disclose who would participate in the talks on Iran. His schedule in New York also includes a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The Iran issue is also expected to be discussed during Trump’s talks with Gulf leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
